Featured Design Work
Other Copenhagens (and Other Stories)
My design for the book cover was inspired by the book's theme: characters navigating life in a "quantum multiverse, where parallel worlds forever split and spawn."
I designed the cover for both the print and Kindle editions of the book.
Plum Blossom Tea Company
Plum Blossom Tea Company is a retail tea shop and tasting room that sells premium matcha, Asian teas, and beautiful teaware.
I worked with Plum Blossom Tea Company to determine what they needed in a website. Once I understood their goals, I designed and built a custom, responsive, Wordpress-based website that directs traffic to their online store, provides a seamless user experience across devices, and provides them with a backend to manage their website content.
As part of the project, I converted their hand-drawn logo to a scalable vector graphic, created a custom Facebook icon, and set up Facebook integration.
Following the launch of their website, I redesigned Plum Blossom Tea Company's business cards and product labels to provide their customers with a memorable and consistent brand experience both online and offline.
Inkwell and Often
I designed the logo for Inkwell and Often, the online literary home of author Edmund Jorgensen. As part of the project I also created a corresponding favicon for the website.
Gamebits, Polygamer, and IndieSider share a social media presence. Gamebits needed a logo and a social media banner image that would represent all three brands and would work seamlessly across a wide range of devices and social media accounts (Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Google+, and LinkedIn). I designed a logo that reflects Gamebits' retrogaming theme and a social media banner (and corresponding business cards) that unites the three brands and expands on the retro theme by using CD covers to display Polygamer and IndieSider album art.
Hut 8 Labs
Hut 8 Labs is Boston-based software and product development consulting company.
I worked with them to design their logo, which features a stylized hut and a binary representation of the number eight.
Heart of Zen
Heart of Zen is a Zen shiatsu practice that offers acupressure and reflexology treatments, zazen meditation practice, and qigong lessons.
I worked with Heart of Zen to determine what they needed in a website. Once I understood their goals, I designed and built a custom, responsive, Wordpress-based website that provides a seamless user experience across devices, a backend to manage their website content, and an integrated Google calendar. The minimalist design reflects the Zen aesthetic and keeps focus on the website's content and imagery.
Down the Road Beer Company
Down the Road Beer Company is a Boston-area craft brewery. I prototyped a collection of beer bottle labels for Down the Road Beer Company that were featured in an exhibit at the Nave Gallery Annex (Somerville, MA) entitled BRANDED: The Art of the Beer Label.
Little Omena is a soulful folk group that tours and performs nationwide.
I designed and built a custom website for Little Omena that serves as an information resource for their fans and the press and provides the band with a lightweight content management backend.
As part of the project I converted their hand-drawn logo to a scalable vector graphic and I created a suite of sticker designs that allowed them to expand their fanbase and brand recognition offline.
Leelanau Prints is the website of the very talented fine artist Douglas Racich.
He wanted his existing website redesigned and needed a way to update the website's content. I designed and built a custom, responsive, Wordpress-based website that provides a seamless user experience across devices and a backend to manage website content.
